Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO)
Every parent of a student at Foundation Academy is a member of the PTO and every parent is welcome to participate in their child's education by volunteering their time. Parental involvement at school is an important asset to all students. In fact, one of our greatest assets at Foundation Academy is the time and devotion of our parents and friends. There are many ways for you to share your heart and skills; some are listed below.
Volunteer Opportunities
- Get invloved in your child's classroom activities by asking their teacher what you can do to contribute.
- Become a helper in Art class, helper in computer class, helper in lunchroom, helper in library, helper with reading groups, etc.
- Become a homeroom mom or a party planner mom.
- Participate in the planning and execution of special events through your PTO.
- Help with "work days" to spruce up and clean up around the school.
- Assist upper school with Homecoming Activities.
- Assist school athletic programs through volunteer coaching, working at the concession stand, etc.
- Help the Elementary or the MS/HS Drama Department(s) by sewing costumes, or with makeup or props.
- Volunteer to help with the Book Fair.
- Assist with Touchdown Club fundraising activities.
- Volunteer to help in the AR Lab before or after school.
- Volunteer to help with special events such as Grandparents Day, Weekend to Roar, Race for Education, Fine Arts Night, Teacher Appreciation Luncheon, Young Author's Day, etc.
- Be an "event photographer" and document a school event for your PTO.
Volunteer of the Month
To honor our volunteers, we will celebrate our Volunteer of the Month with a designated parking space for the following month! Make sure to sign in and out to have your chance to win the reserved parking space.
