Upper School Chapel
Our talented student Praise Band led worship for the first time of the school year in our Upper School Chapel on Wednesday! For the last song, students in our ASL 2 class joined on stage and signed along with the song. After worship, Pastor Keith asked if anyone wanted to brag about their mom. Students jumped to their feet to share what they love about their mom–with responses including “She makes the best fried chicken!” and “She sacrifices everything for me.”
Pastor Keith challenged students to be just as eager to share about Jesus Christ. By telling some of his own story, Pastor Keith taught how God desires a powerful relationship with each one of us. It’s not about basing our identity in how we perform, but in our relationship with Jesus.
In closing, Pastor Keith asked, “Are you living in the power of a relationship that comes through knowing Jesus Christ?” God wants us to experience Him in all that we do, that others might experience Him too. And in this way, we get the chance to jump to our feet and tell others about Jesus.
We’re so thankful for Pastor Keith, the Praise Band, and the entire Chapel team who make our weekly times of worship together so meaningful. We look forward to many more Chapels together this school year!
