Mouse Traps and Trust
Our Upper School Chapel this week began with our talented Praise Band leading us in worship. Our ASL 2 and 3 students helped finished our worship time by offering a dynamic version of “Old Church Choir” by Zach Williams. Click here for the video!
Pastor Keith then asked senior Kenny A to help him start the teaching time. Pastor Keith placed a $5 on a mouse trap and told Kenny to take the $5. He promised Kenny that he wouldn’t get hurt, that he could trust what Pastor Keith had promised. Sure enough, Kenny grabbed the $5 without getting pinched.
Pastor Keith then taught about trusting God and showed how absolutely trustworthy you’ll find God’s Word to be. He shared some of his own life experiences and losses, and how through them, God has shown He really is trustworthy. “You can lean on Him completely,” said Pastor Keith. He finished by encouraging students to trust God regardless of their circumstances or their own understanding.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
