Wissmann Family at Chapel
This week, the multi-talented Wissmann Family performed at our Upper School Chapel! This musical group delighted our students by showcasing Christian/Gospel songs through their wide array of instruments and joyful voices. They even shared some Christmas music!
Loren Wissmann, the patriarch of the family, took some time to teach from 1 Corinthians 12. “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” (1 Cor 12:12) Loren shared how God has equipped each of us differently. “Each person has unique qualities that God has given them,” he explained.
Loren went on to illustrate this idea through music. By highlighting the various instruments his family plays–guitar, violin, banjo, mandolin, bass guitar, and cello–he showed how different instruments must come together to create rich and beautiful songs. And so it is with us. When we team up as believers with different giftings, we can share the love of Christ as one body of believers.
Thank you to the Wissmann Family for sharing their many talents with our students and staff today. We loved this joyful and festive time together as we enjoy the Christmas season!
