Students Meet Officer Nina

On October 8th, Lower School students meet Officer Nina, and she quickly becomes their new favorite officer to visit FA.

Major Smith from Miller and Miller Securities brought Canine Officer Nina to meet and visit with students. As they arrived to campus, Officer Nina greeted them and students were able to see firsthand how canine officers assist in keeping everyone safe.

Officer Nina specializes in arms and ammunition detection. She is an 18-month-old German Shepherd from Columbia. A fun fact about Officer Nina is that she is a little smaller in size than the traditional German Shepherd. Everyone enjoyed interacting with Officer Nina.

After leaving the Lower School, Major Smith brought Officer Nina to the Upper School to mingle with students during their break time. It was quite the surprise for them as well!

Thank you, Major Smith, for introducing us to Officer Nina and demonstrating the important role she plays in safety!
