FA Families Volunteer at Second Harvest

Foundation Academy Families Volunteer

Students, faculty, and parents sort food items for Second Harvest Food Bank

On Saturday, February 23, a group of FA students, parents, and staff volunteered at Second Harvest Food Bank.  The group sorted frozen meat that had been donated from grocery stores in the area.  Once sorted, the donated items will be distributed to over 500 food pantries in 6 counties of Central Florida.  These food pantries provide food to people who are in need.

Foundation Academy Families VolunteerThe Second Harvest Food Bank could not do what they do without volunteers.  They love volunteers, and our FA community was more than happy to help!  Thank you to Upper School teacher, Mrs. McLaughlin, for coordinating this opportunity for our families. At Foundation Academy, this is what #FAisFamily is all about.

Be on the look out for more opportunities for students to get involved with this organization in the future!
