Alicia Barilla is from Melbourne, Florida. She earned her MS in Counseling Psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic & her BA in Interpersonal Communication at the University of South Florida. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor by the State of Florida. Alicia serves at both the Plant Street and Tilden Road Campuses as an NILD Therapist for K5 – 12th grade. She enjoys reading, traveling, learning, spending time with her husband, son and daughter, and being involved in her church. Alicia’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 3:17-19. Her greatest influences have been her grandmother for teaching her to turn to God in prayer about anything, her parents for showing her what generosity and unconditional love looks like, and Jesus, whom she ultimately strives to follow.
“The goal of NILD Educational Therapy is to help students develop tools of independent learning in the classroom and in life. Students are trained to view themselves as competent, confident learners.”
