“My driving force for my classroom and for my students is to ignite in them a true love of learning. I wish to help inspire in them a desire to be lifelong learners. My hope is that they would see in literature, from both Christian and non-Christian authors, a means to understand human nature– our struggles to make sense of ourselves, of others, and of our world. I want to help students “get out of themselves” and to look at situations from another’s perspective. Doing this enables them to understand the needs, motives, and desires of others. This knowledge will guide them to share the truth of Jesus and His redemption more mindfully. Literature develops our emotions and our imaginations, it has the power to change our lives.”
