Maddy Mueller is from Clermont, Florida. She attended Western Carolina University Honors College where she received her B.S. in Education Middle Grades Math & Social Sciences. Maddy teaches history to 7th grade at our Tilden Campus. She is the Middle School Indoor Volleyball Coach and Co-Head Coach of Sand Volleyball. She enjoys being on the water, hiking, and exploring with her family. Maddy’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 3:20-21. Her family and her past teachers and coaches have been her greatest influences because they taught her how to glorify God with her unique talents and abilities.

“In my classroom, I want my students to know first of all that they are created and so very loved by God and we can rest in the truth that He is sovereign over all events that have happened, are happening, and will happen in the world and in our lives (Jeremiah 29:11). A good classroom community is based upon treating others the way God wants us to treat them. Each person’s voice, thoughts, and feelings are valued because we understand that God has uniquely created each of us. If everyone thought the exact same way, there would be little growth, little exploration, and little excitement. We respect and listen to one another. James 1:19 calls us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Classrooms allow individuals to learn, but it is also where learning is relational.”
