Football
Our Varsity Football team, under the leadership of Coach Andre Walker, is coming off a successful season with a 7-3 record, highlighted by notable victories over The First Academy, Windermere Prep, and West Oaks. As we embark on our first year competing in the Sunshine State Athletic Association (SSAA), we’re gearing up for an exciting new chapter. This season’s squad will be youthful yet exciting with potential, with several new players stepping up to fill the shoes of graduated stars JT Bronaugh and Cole West, who are now playing at the collegiate level. Lion Nation is eagerly anticipating an exciting fall season!
Volleyball
Our Varsity Girls Volleyball team, guided by Coach Vicky Veloz, is coming off a stellar season with a 15-6 record, including notable victories over Mount Dora Christian, Lakeland Christian, The Masters Academy, and Ocoee High School. With high expectations for the upcoming season, the team is poised for another strong performance, bolstered by the presence of last year’s MVP, Haley Higgins. We’re excited to see what this season holds as we aim for a deep and successful run!
Golf
Our Varsity Boys Golf Team, under the guidance of Coach Jonathan West, had an outstanding season last year, securing 16 victories, including impressive wins over prominent public schools like West Orange, East Ridge, and South Lake. With team MVP Logan Melde returning for his junior year, the team is well-positioned for a strong postseason run. We’re excited to see what this season has in store!
Swim
Varsity Swim at Foundation Academy continues to thrive and expand under the leadership of Coach Chad Sundermeyer. Both the girls’ and boys’ teams had impressive seasons last year, with the girls finishing 11-2 and the boys 8-5. This season, Coach Sundermeyer will be relying on younger swimmers to step up and compete at a high level, following the graduation of Emma Sundermeyer, who has moved on to swim for the University of Alabama. Lion Nation is eager to see the team’s performance this fall!
Cross Country
Cross Country is set for another exciting season as the program continues its upward trajectory. Under the leadership of Coach Lisa Armat, the team is building on a strong performance from last year, with the boys’ team qualifying for the State meet and finishing in the top 25. This season, Coach Armat will focus on nurturing younger runners to step up, following the graduation of star runner Andrew Nyland, who is now competing at Florida Southern University. We’re looking forward to seeing the continued growth and success of our Cross Country team!
