Principal, Mrs. Maggie Holley
Foundation Academy is excited to share that Maggie Holley will join the FA family as our Plant Street Principal beginning June 1. God has answered our prayers by sending Maggie our way with a career spanning over eighteen years in education. She brings a wealth of experience and a lively spirit to her new role.
Before joining Foundation Academy, Maggie served as the Director of Education at West Virginia Public Broadcasting. In this role, she created and supported education initiatives state-wide. Her dedication to fostering excellence in education has been evident throughout her career, which includes more than nine years as a middle school science teacher and six years in school administration.
Born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, Maggie is part of a large family of seven, with her mom and dad still residing there. Her upbringing instilled a strong work ethic and love for Jesus Christ. Baptized as a young adult, Maggie brought her passion for teaching into the church, which continues today. In her home church at Lakeview Baptist, she is an active member as a teacher and church treasurer.
Maggie is relocating from Jackson County, West Virginia, where she resides with her husband, daughter, and two beloved dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and bird watching.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Foundation Academy. I feel like this is a prayer that has been
answered. I can’t wait to collaborate with the amazing staff and get to know the FA families.”
Maggie Holley’s appointment as Principal of Foundation Academy’s Lower School marks an exciting chapter for her and the school community. Her positivity and unwavering faith are the foundation of her leadership and ministry.
Assistant Principal, Mrs. Brooke Newell
Additionally, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Brooke Newell as the Plant Street Campus Assistant Principal. Brooke brings a wealth of experience to her new role, with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. Over her 15 years in education, she has consistently demonstrated her dedication to both her faith and her profession.
Brooke’s passion for guiding students and educators alike is evident in her previous roles at Foundation Academy, where she taught first grade, served as the Reading Coordinator, and currently holds the position of Academic Coordinator. Her commitment to nurturing both the academic and spiritual growth of her students and colleagues aligns perfectly with our school’s values.
Outside of her professional life, Brooke treasures spending quality time with her friends and family, cherishing moments together. Notably, Brooke is deeply involved in her local community through her church, First Baptist of Winter Garden, where she actively participates in various activities and services.
Originally from Panama City, Florida, Brooke then pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, where her family’s strong ties to the university instilled in her a lifelong passion for the Gators. Now settled in Winter Garden with her husband Kyle and their two boys, Logan and Steven, who are proud attendees of Foundation Academy, Brooke finds joy and fulfillment in both her personal and professional life. Brooke looks forward to seeing all the plans God has in store for the students and staff of Foundation Academy!
