The Foundation Academy swim team continues to make history in their first year, competing in the Regional Meet held at Lake Highland Prep on November 2. The swimmers who competed in the Regional Meet were:
- Eliana B (6th grade)
- Emma S (8th grade)
- Katie H (11th grade)
- Hannah H (9th grade)
The swimmers competed together as a team in the relay events, and also in individual events. Here is how they did:
- 200 Medley relay placed 7th
- 200 Free relay placed 5th
- Emma S won the 200 free & 500 free, making her Regional Champion and qualifying her for the State meet!
- Katie H placed 2nd in the 100 back which qualified her for the State meet, and she also placed 5th in the 50 free.
- Eliana B placed 20th in the 100 back.
Furthermore, the girls’ team placed 7th overall out of 20 teams. What an amazing first season for the Foundation Academy swim team, and it isn’t over yet! Be praying for Emma and Katie as they compete in the State meet held in Stuart, FL, on Saturday, November 9.
