Middle School Robotics

Middle School First Lego League

Middle School students build and program LEGO EV3 robots to solve robot game missions and compete against other teams. They also research and design innovative ideas to solve problems based on the competition theme.

FIRST Tech Challenge (7-12)

High School students build and program robots from scratch to compete in a field game against other teams.

Foundation Academy has four teams that enter into competition. We have Ducks in a Row, Mega, Super, Extreme, Gigantic, Lions, Why You Always Lion?, and Why Yes, It’s the Lions.

Program Highlights

Students learn basic programming skills, including block-based programming and basic Java, to aid in the creation of their robots.

Lego Mindstorm EV3

Students use EV3 kits that allow them to design, build, and program while providing a basic understanding of programming and engineering. 

3D Printing

Students get the opportunity to create computer-aided designs (CAD) that can be 3D printed with our in class 3D printer. Students also create designs and print different parts to be used on the robots.

Programming Skills

Students will learn basic programming skills, including block-based programming and basic Java, to aid in the creation of their robots.
