Lower School Drama

Lower School (K-6)

The elementary drama program at Foundation Academy is open to any 2-6 grade student that loves to sing, dance, act, and move.  Auditions are in the fall and spring and there are usually between 50-60 students involved in each production.  Elementary drama performs a Christmas musical in December and a spring musical in April.  There is a strong focus on choral singing as well as acting.  This is an after school activity that practices 2-3 times a week.

Upper School (7-12)

Drama classes are offered for Middle and High School as electives. Two major productions are done each year. The productions can range from musicals to studio theater productions. Students can join the Thespian International Society and compete with other drama programs in the area.

Some of the past productions include The Diary of Anne Frank, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, You Can’t Take It with You, Disney’s High School Musical JrThe Glass MenagerieCagesGodspellThe Importance of Being ErnestThe Two Sides of DarknessThe Wizard of Oz and Seussical the Musical.
