Foundation Academy’s Robotics Program allows students to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to build and program innovative robots and compete in local competitions. Students will use the engineering process to create problem-solving solutions in and out of the classroom. Those who participate at the high school level can apply for millions of dollars in college scholarships.
Middle School First Lego League
Middle School students build and program LEGO EV3 robots to solve robot game missions and compete against other teams. They also research and design innovative ideas to solve problems based on the competition theme.
FIRST Tech Challenge (7-12)
High School students build and program robots from scratch to compete in a field game against other teams.
Foundation Academy has four teams that enter into competition. We have Ducks in a Row, Mega, Super, Extreme, Gigantic, Lions, Why You Always Lion?, and Why Yes, It’s the Lions.
Students learn basic programming skills, including block-based programming and basic Java, to aid in the creation of their robots.
Lego Mindstorm EV3
Lego Mindstorm EV3
Students use EV3 kits that allow them to design, build, and program while providing a basic understanding of programming and engineering.
Students get the opportunity to create computer-aided designs (CAD) that can be 3D printed with our in class 3D printer. Students also create designs and print different parts to be used on the robots.
Students will learn basic programming skills, including block-based programming and basic Java, to aid in the creation of their robots.
