“More than anything, I want my students to know Jesus. That is the bottom line and the most important thing for them to know when they leave us. I also want my students to leave my class having read more independently than they have in previous years. Reading is so important for our students and I try to stress that a lot throughout the year. I want them to see the power of a good book and a powerful story. With that experience, I also want them to know the value of their own unique stories.”
