Athletes at the Next Level
Each year Foundation Academy celebrates the students who realize their dream to play their sport at the collegiate level. Here are our Athletes at the next level:
Class of 2018
Eddie Loos is a 2018 graduate of Foundation Academy. Eddie is currently playing for Morehead State as a true freshman on their travel team. He was an AP All-State Player for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Class of 2017
Lester Axson is a 2017 graduate of Foundation Academy. Lester was red shirted as a freshman at Campbell University. He was an all-state defensive back for the 2015 and 2016 seasons while attending FA.
Jaquane Patterson graduated from FA in 2017. Jaquane was red shirted as a freshman at the University of Charleston. He was the 2016 2A player of the year for Orange and Osceola County and a first team 2016 all-state running back.
Cory Rahman is a 2017 graduate from Foundation Academy. Cory is starting safety for Southeastern University. Fire at safety and played all season long on defense and special teams. While at Southeastern, he was named to the Mid-South Conference All-Sun Division First-Team for the 2018 season. Cory was a 2016 first team all-state safety and was voted the most valuable player on the baseball team while attending FA.
Evan Thompson graduated from FA in 2017. Evan is the starting Linebacker for the Florida Tech Panthers, beginning as a true freshman. He was a 2016 first team all-state linebacker and valedictorian while attending Foundation Academy.
Jacob Titus is a 2017 graduate of Foundation Academy. Jacob is currently playing for Huntington College in Alabama.
Class of 2016
Casey Lemke is a 2016 Foundation graduate who plays on the varsity baseball team at Norwich University. While attending FA, Casey was a two-sport athlete who excelled at baseball and football for the Lions. He was the 2016 Team Captain of the baseball team and was the starting left tackle for the 2016 District Champion football team.
Reilly Lord graduated from FA in 2016. She was named captain of the University of Florida’s crew team as a sophomore. Lord’s boat recently won first place at the Head of the Hooch Regatta in Tennessee. While at Foundation, Reilly was a three-sport athlete and two-sport captain. She was captain of the 2016 District Champion girls basketball team and the 2016 first-ever competitive cheer team. Reilly also ran track.
Elyssa Stimmell graduated from Foundation in 2016. She was the volleyball captain at FA and had the honors of first team All District and Team MVP. Elyssa is continuing her volleyball career at Nova Southeastern. You can learn more about Elyssa by clicking here!
Gabe Walker graduated from Foundation in 2016. He has transferred from the Citadel and will be joining the University of South Florida Bulls. Gabe was a three-year, all-district football player while attending FA, and the 2016 2A Player of the Year for Central Florida. Gabe had 3,000 yards during his time as a Lion.
Class of 2015
Stevanna Ames – Stevanna started on the Varsity Softball Team since 6th Grade. She holds numerous softball records at FA and was team captain from 2013 – 2015. She was also on the first team 2A All-State Team in 2014 and 2015, on the second team in 2013. Currently she plays shortstop for Seminole State College.
Ari Fonseca, a 2015 FA graduate, had two back-to-back runner-up finishes at the 2014 and 2015 Optimist International Junior Golf Championship. She now plays golf for the University of Kansas and was recently named a Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar for the third time. Darius Irvin is a 2015 FA graduate. He is a Red Shirt junior at UNC Charlotte, and played linebacker and special teams this past season for Charlotte. Darius was a first team all-district and FACA linebacker while attending Foundation Academy.
Megan Miller was a five-year starter in volleyball at Foundation Academy. While at FA, she lead the team in aces and assists. Megan was an all-around player who was very successful at multiple positions on the court. She was the team captain for two years and led our team to the State Championship Finals in 2013 and 2014. Her leadership showed on and off the court. During her senior year she signed to play for Daytona State College, with a full scholarship. She is the starting setter and leads the team in assists. Megan is currently enrolled in the honors college at Daytona State College. After completing her two years she is looking to continue her education in Florida on another volleyball scholarship.
Kiande Phillips will be playing football for Hobart University next season. Kiande is a first year player at Foundation. His lightning speed and great hands made him a valuable asset. Phillips made a huge interception securing the victory versus Trinity Prep. Kiande made the second team 2A- District 4 team at Wide Receiver. Hobart looks to use Kiande’s speed at cover corner.
Class of 2014
Nick Byrd signed with Southeastern University, whose inaugural football season kicks off in 2014. Nick was an important part of the Lions offense.
Noel Gusler showed his versatility on the football field for Foundation and is headed to Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa to play for the chargers.
BreAnna Holder signed with Ave Maria University to play volleyball after helping lead Foundation to back-to-back appearances in the Class 2A state championship.
Dan Richard will play baseball for Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville.
Alec Thompson is a FA 2014 graduate and was an all-state quarterback while at Foundation. He is currently playing in his senior year at Rose–Hulman. Alec was a first team all-conference and was nominated as a pre-season All American.
